Overland Park, Kansas. HCA’s Overland Park Regional Medical Center will offer cardiovascular services to residents of Miami County through a partnership with Karl D. Pfuetze, MD of Midwest Cardiology and Donald Banks, MD, of Paola Family Practice.
Karl D. Pfuetze, MD, board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, brings expertise in general cardiology, echocardiology, nuclear cardiology and certification in lipidology, the study and treatment of vascular disease as related to abnormalities of blood fat levels, to the residents of Paola, Kansas. Dr. Pfuetze earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. He completed his internship and a one year residency in family medicine at Sacramento County Hospital in California. After a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was awarded three bronze stars, he completed his fellowship in internal medicine and cardiology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
