Welcome to the Volunteer Department at Overland Park Regional Medical Center! We are excited you have taken the first step toward becoming a part of our team! As a volunteer you will join a group of compassionate, friendly individuals dedicated to serving the patients and visitors in our community who walk through the doors of our hospital each day.
New volunteer opportunities arise every day at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Volunteers must be age 16 or older. If you have a talent to share, we’ll be happy to discuss other possibilities with you.
More than 25 hospital areas use volunteers including:
Sell gifts, candy, magazines, fresh flowers and jewelry. The money raised helps support hospital programs and charities.
Run errands, assemble charts and assist nursing unit with other miscellaneous tasks, allowing staff more time to focus on direct patient care.
Welcome patients and guests; assist them in finding locations within the hospital and Doctors Building.
A helping hand is always needed for filing, copying and collating materials, stuffing envelopes, running errands and delivering flowers.
File, copy and collate clinic handouts, maintain inventory for Infusion/treatment area and patient rooms, provide light cleaning of waiting area, and escort patients to ancillary service areas (lab, radiology, ECHO, mammography) as needed.
