Learn about working for Overland Park Regional Medical Center

Let’s start with the facts.

You’re looking for a place to make a difference with a healthcare system that offers the best resources to not only the community, but also its employees.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center has served Johnson County and the surrounding area since 1978and those years have allowed the 343-bed facility to put down meaningful roots in a community that depends on its acute and outpatient medical care services.

The Level II Trauma Center, accredited Chest Pain Center, The Women’s Center, Level III Neonatal ICU, Human Motion Institute, advanced diagnostic imaging, diabetes center, sleep lab, an accredited Breast Center and myriad other services help set the hospital apart. In addition, the Neonatal Transport Team, serving Kansas City and outlying areas, is headquartered at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, and the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Overland Park Regional Medical Center offers cutting-edge cancer diagnosis, treatment and clinical trials close to home.

Although the hospital receives awards and prestigious recognition from The Joint Commission, the American Heart Association and other high-profile organizations, we don’t rest on them—instead, our team members put excellence into action.

Community connected.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center takes its signature brand of health and wellness beyond the hospital’s Johnson County campus. Partnerships with local and national organizations put the hospital at the forefront of popular community activities. All part of an effort to educate our neighbors about how to achieve optimal health and wellness—and to be there for them and their families in their greatest hour of need. It’s not just what we do—it’s who we are.

Life is good in Overland Park.

Overland Park is Kansas City’s most dynamic suburb and the second largest city in Kansas. There’s a wealth of things to do, see and experience here—the dining, cultural and entertainment variety of a big city with small-town camaraderie.

From rural (and interactive) farmsteads to contemporary art museums, Overland Park is a city of compelling contrasts. Sure, the only skyscrapers you’ll find in Downtown Overland Park are the heaping whips of meringue on The Upper Crust’s signature pies, but you could spend all day (several, in fact) exploring, shopping and, of course, eating in the charming historic district.

Take a break from your career’s fast pace with a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the Indian Creek Hike and Bike Trail and revel in Overland Park’s picturesque settings. Browse the galleries of renowned Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. Enjoy eclectic cuisine from Vietnamese to Korean and award-winning barbecue and fried chicken to Italian, Mexican and El Salvadoran.

What’s in a number? Quite a lot, actually. Overland Park has been ranked #9 in Money magazine’s Top 10 “Best Places to Live,” #3 in U.S. News & World Report’s “10 Best Places to Grow Up” and #22 on “America’s 25 Best Places to Move” by Forbes.com, all of which adds up to #1 as a place to put down roots. With some of the most acclaimed school districts in the country, including the Blue Valley School District, world-class Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex, and miles of paved bike paths and nature trails, it’s a great place to raise a family.

And of course, we’re not far from the bright lights and buzz of Kansas City—just over the state line is another world to explore. For more information on Overland Park, go to visitoverlandpark.com. For more information on Kansas City, go to visitkc.com.
