Everyone plays a critical role in saving a life or putting their own health first. Dr. George Pearson, a cardiologist at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, explains.

Heart disease is the number one killer in the the United States. Statistics show that the earlier CPR is initiated, the greater the chances of survival. It is estimated that 100,000 to 200,000 lives could be saved each year if CPR were performed early enough.
