ER of Shawnee temporarily closed

The ER of Shawnee free standing emergency department has temporarily suspended operations. This will allow for consolidation of staff and supplies at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center main campus as we manage through the current COVID-19 Pandemic.

Pediatric Respiratory Clinic

As of Friday, March 20, Overland Park Regional Medical Center will not accept any new Pediatric Respiratory Clinic referrals, in concordance with the current recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control. In an effort to reduce potential exposure and protect our patients, families, and staff the services offered through our Pediatric Respiratory Clinic will be suspended. We plan to reoffer these services as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

We have been and will continue to collaborate with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), maintaining and often exceeding the strictest of standards. Here are just a few of the steps we’re taking:

Virtual hospital tours available to preview the facilities and birthing suites

COVID-19 testing available for pregnant women and peace of mind

Virtual childbirth and parenting classes including breastfeeding, infant CPR, prepared childbirth and newborn baby care

Visitor access limited to one birth partner for the health and safety of all

Ultra-clean environment with enhanced sanitation and validation to ensure cleaning is complete and effective

Universal masking and screening for all employees, physicians, approved visitors and patients

COVID-19 and Pregnancy
