The Support Team at the Maternal Fetal Health Center at Overland Park Regional Medical Center provides support and reassurance to help relieve anxiety and stress that can often occur with diagnosis of a high-risk pregnancy. We offer seamless, compassionate care including education, assistance with scheduling appointments, hospital tours, ongoing communication with providers and more.
Susan Trasher, DNP, Manager
Susan Thrasher, DNP, has more than 16 years of experience in nursing and her clinical experience has been devoted entirely to caring for high-risk pregnant women. As a trained Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked with patients for years, she understands how to collaborate with patients and physicians while offering patient centered care for both you and your baby. Susan holds a doctorate degree in nursing practice. Her research interests include risk of cardiovascular disease in women following hypertension in pregnancy.
Chelsea Wooten, RN, Nurse Navigator
Chelsea Wooten, RN, will facilitate communication between you and the Center’s care team. Chelsea is an expert at listening to your needs and coordinating your various appointments such as ultrasounds, laboratory testing, and follow up visits with your medical team. Chelsea’s has extensive experience caring for women as a labor/delivery nurse and ICU nurse.
