A concussion is a traumatic injury caused when the brain violently moves within the skull injuring brain cells. The Sports Medicine Program at Overland Park Regional Medical Center provides coaches, athletes, parents, and club organizations with high quality sports medicine services. We are proud of our partnerships with Heartland Soccer Association, Football and Cheerleading Club of Johnson County, Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex, Kansas City Stars, Kansas City Christian School, and the Kansas City Sports Club baseball and softball teams.
